DO I NEED TO BE A LICENSED PILOT TO FLY WITH ART OF FLIGHT?

No, we offer a discovery flight that introduces aviation to you in the most spectacular way either in our Vintage Cessna 195 with friends and family or performing aerobatics in our Pitts Special.  Further, you will get guidance on how to achieve your own pilots license.

WHAT DO I NEED TO GET MY TAILWHEEL ENDORSEMENT IN A PITTS , CHRISTEN EAGLE OR OTHER ADVANCED AIRCRAFT?

It really depends on your insurance company. However expect approximately 5-20 hours of combined tailwheel, aerobatics, and upset recovery and spin training to be checked out so that you could own your own Pitts/Eagle/Extra someday.

WHAT ARE THE MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED TO LEARN AEROBATICS?

There are no minimum requirements to start learning aerobatics.    We will teach you basic skills that will prepare you for learning on your own as well as competing in primary, sportsman, and intermediate aerobatic competition.

WILL I GET MOTION SICKNESS?

We are not here to make you sick or uncomfortable.  We will ease into aerobatics slowly and comfortably and as soon as your comfort zone is exceeded we will level out and provide a scenic ride where you can take a deep breath and enjoy the view.

IS IT SAFE TO PERFORM AEROBATICS?

Aerobatics can get a bad wrap.  Sometimes referred to as acrobatics, stunt flying, airshow flying.    Aerobatics flown appropriately within the limitations of the aircraft and pilot is one of the safest motorsports in the world.
