Advanced Tailwheel

At Art of Flight we believe the best training for your tailwheel endorsement is with a high performance airplane like the Pitts Special, Christen Eagle, or Cessna 195.  These aircraft are uniquely difficult to land due to their pitch sensitivity, yaw instability, and blind forward visibility. If you can land a Pitts, you have the skills to land just about anything.

We will also teach you single engine safety profiles that will give you a better chance to land unharmed should your engine fail.

And of course, if we are training in an a aerobatic airplane such as the Pitts you will get exposed to many aerobatic maneuvers along the way and will also be ready to practice for your first Aerobatic contest.
